Beekeeping consultation is available at your apiary, one-on-one, for $40 / hour plus travel (no added travel costs are involved in the Pittsburgh Metropolitan area).

Want help with setting up a new beehive, performing an inspection, or doing a "split" ?  Hiring Michael can get these and many other questions answered at YOUR apiary manipulating YOUR hives.  Wondering if your hives are ready for Winter?  Michael can coach you through these things while getting YOUR hands on the frames.

We offer:

• Private lessons:  We can help you learn to use your hive tools and equipment and maneuver through inspections.

• Consulting:  We can help you with a variety of needs including setting up new hives, dealing with an aggressive hive, assistance moving a hive, and other beekeeping tasks.

• Hive Management:  If your schedule does not allow for regular maintenance your hive requires, we can customize a hive management program.  Whether year-round assistance is required or temporary assistance due to vacations or a tight schedule.

• Honey extraction:  This can include assistance pulling the frames, extracting, bottling, or cutting the comb into pieces.
